Dr.Khan was formerly working as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon in the United Kingdom National Health Service. He was based at the Northeast Thames Regional Plastic Surgery and Burns unit,located at St.Andrews Hospital, Billericay Essex which is one of the largest plastic surgery units in the country. He also visited Haroldwood and Oldchurch hospitals for outpatient referrals and operative sessions.

Dr.Khan completed his primary surgical training in the Republic of Ireland,having been selected for the fellowship rotation scheme of the voluntary Hospitals based in Cork,Ireland. He did his initial Plastic Surgical training at Cork University Hospital before moving to United Kingdom. He then trained for five years in Plastic Surgery, including periods at St. Bartholowmew's and the Royal London Hospitals, working with ten leading consultants during this period. Dr.Khan also visited the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital(one of the foremost Aesthetic surgery practices on the US east coast) and worked as a Fellow at a leading practice on Harley street, London to gain experience in Cosmetic surgery.

Author of a number of scientific publications and having made several international presentations, Dr.Khan was also the first surgeon in this region to have passed the speciality Fellowship examination of the Joint Royal Colleges (England,Edinbourgh,Glasgow and Ireland) in Plastic Surgery.His areas of special interest include Liposuction and Body Contouring aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the face,breast and abdomen.Dr.Khan is a trained Hand, Burns and Microvascular surgeon, he was also the pioneer of Facial Resurfacing bringing the first Erbium YAG laser to Riyadh Saudi Arabia in 1997 and Dubai in 1998.

Dr. Khan is on the steering committee of ISAPS for Health Tourism he is involved with the set up of a first class medspa facility located in a five star resort in Dubai. The next stage will be a surgical centre to promote aesthetic surgery tourism in the region.
